What Todd's Working on
My current work in progress is a new book called "Striker Unleashed." This book series focuses on a Navy SEAL who is recalled home after his parents are killed by a gang. He and a group of friends unleash their form of warfare on these hometown thugs to avenge his parents' deaths. At the same time, rekindling a relationship with an old high school sweetheart.
Excerpt from Chapter One:
“Eyes. Target identified. Ready to take the shot,” I announced over my communications link to my handler. My handler was sitting in a comfortable office in Florida, while I was out on a hot mountainside in Afghanistan, tasked with removing a high-value target.
“Striker, hold one,” she replied. “I need to get clearance from higher up the chain.”
“What is the holdup? We’ve been after this shitbag for over a year. Let me end him now,” I said over the communications link, maybe a little too loudly.
“You know the process. I need to clear you for the shot. Do we always have to discuss this?”
“We should have clearance long before I hump my ass across the desert and up this mountainside,” I hissed.
“Just follow orders, Striker.”
“Shit,” I mumbled under my breath.
“What was that, Striker?”
"Nothing, Eyes."
